The exisiting Grade II* Listed church is located in Waltham Forest and operates as the NE London home for the local church congregation.
-
The project seeks to retain the church’s original character from when it was built in 1904 whilst enhancing the quality of spaces.
“the building needs to adapt to meet the needs of a modern day church”
A new community space is proposed to the side of the main hall.
The proposed location and scale of the new extension are sympathetic to the church’s original form and appearance.
Whilst creating an additional break-out space to the main hall, bifold doors allow flexibilty for a community café, lectures, classes, clubs, exhibitions to be hosted in the new room.
